| Drip cap on chimney is formed by
nailing two layers of one by fours on the chimney and filling in.
Later, the
forms are removed and the finish is applied.
These caps make sure the chimneys last. Don't believe me? Go to an old neighborhood and look at the stucco chimneys. The chimneys without drip edges usually have been patched or are in bad shape. click here or on the picture for more (opens new window). |
