After the scratch coat has set up about 2
days, the brown coat is put on.
The EIFS cloth and finish was put directly
on the concrete. Here, the wall is chipped to
prepare for a bonding coat using flex con, an acrylic bonder in the mortar.

After the bonding coat sets up, the wall is
filled the rest of the way

The roof is covered with tarpaper to keep it clean.

A horizontal screed is set using a string line. For more about screeds, click here.
Vertical screeds are set about 6 feet apart
between the horizontal screed and the weep
screed at the bottom.

Walls are straight.
Now it is just a matter of filling in between the screeds and rodding the wall with a 6 foot rod.
